Poor Charlie's Almanack
The standard compilation of Munger's talks and thinking, and the source text behind most of this site.
Charlie Munger, ed. Peter D. Kaufman · 2005
A collected edition of Charlie Munger’s speeches, talks, and Q&A, assembled by Peter Kaufman. The centrepiece is the 1995 Harvard talk on the psychology of human misjudgment and the 1994 USC talk on elementary worldly wisdom — the two pieces that lay out the latticework-of-models idea in full.
It is not a systematic textbook. Munger circles the same handful of ideas — incentives, inversion, multidisciplinary thinking, avoiding folly — from different angles across decades, which is roughly how the ideas are meant to be learned. Stripe Press publishes the current edition and has made it free to read online.
